The industry is in constant search for solutions to enhance the performance and properties of materials. Nano-sizing is considered a preferred approach towards this goal.
Although nano-particles offer many advantages, their manufacturing process poses significant challenges.
An ideal production process needs to address the following factors:
Narrow particles size distribution (PSD)
Purity of the active material - Minimal contamination produced during the manufacturing process and minimal use of additives.
Control of the achieved particle morphology, i.e. amorphous or crystalline.
Cost effective process (reliable, repeatable) and preferably continuous and quick, with low energy consumption.
Collection of the produced particles in a non-agglomerated manner or by designed agglomerization when required.
Ability to process a wide range of materials, including soft organic materials.
A scalable process, suitable for high capacity industrial throughput.
A process that does affect the activity of the active ingredients (For example, our process does not involve exposure of the materials to high temperature, and is therefore applicable for heat-sensitive compounds).
Our technology addresses these needs by offering a platform for the production of nano- to- sub-micron materials in a stable industrial process.
